Independence Corn By-Products is bringing horse owners a new bedding solution for the 21^st century.  BestCob Horse Bedding will lighten your workload, save you money and improve the overall health of your horses.

Composition

BestCob Horse Bedding is made of 100% corn cob and is completely free of additives and contaminates.  The lightweight portions of corn cobs are pelletized; only steam is added as a binder.  When you put BestCob Horse Bedding into your stalls, your horses will step on the pellets to initially break up the pellets into soft, very absorbent bedding.  Note: If your horse nibbles on the BestCob Horse Bedding, it will only act as roughage and will not harm your horse.

Fast Absorption BestCob Horse Bedding quickly absorbs moisture; the wet spots are easily discernible and are easy to sift and dispose.  One 40-pound bag of BestCob Horse Bedding will absorb over 18.5 gallons of liquid!  That’s nearly 4 times its own weight!  Compared to wood shavings, which only absorb about 2.5 times its own weight.  You will also find that stall changes are much less frequent; some owners have claimed 1 month with BestCob Horse Bedding before they stripped the stalls.

Easy to Handle

BestCob Horse Bedding is available in easy to handle 30 and 40-pound bags.  (bulk may be available, see your dealer for details) Since BestCob Horse Bedding is made from corn cobs instead of wood shavings, you will use fewer bags per stall, freeing up space and saving you money.

BestCob Horse Bedding is safe for the environment.  When disposing, just spread out onto your pasture or field.  The pellets have low carbon content which is good for your pasture; wood has high carbon content and pulls the nitrogen out of the ground, lowering the growing potential.  BestCob Horse Bedding is also 100% corncob with no additives, only steam is needed to create the pellet.  This means your horses will be even healthier than before because there are no wood oils or aromas in corn cob.

          To use BestCob Horse Bedding, follow the following instructions:

            1.  Remove old bedding and thoroughly clean your horse’s stall.

            2.  Add 3 to 5  40# bags of BestCob Horse Bedding and spread out evenly.

            3.  Stir bedding frequently; remove manure and wet spots as needed.

            4. Add more BestCob Horse Bedding as needed to replenish spots removed.

            5.  It takes the pellets 24 hours to break down and fill the stall more completely.
